Carbure de bore

Carbure de bore (B4C) is a ceramic material composed of boron and carbon atoms. It is one of the hardest materials known to man, second only to diamond and cubic boron nitride. Boron carbide is often used in structural materials, ceramic materials, chemical raw materials, nuclear properties, electrical properties, etc.. due to its advantages such as high melting point, high hardness, low density, propriétés chimiques stables, and neutron absorption. Boron carbide is also used in ballistic armor due to its excellent hardness and ability to absorb and dissipate energy from high-velocity projectiles.
